The Tucker women are up early to prepare a very important meal, or at least that’s what Mama says. As the day wears on, the little dramas that always take place in the kitchen boil over, making a mess of everything. STEW explores the substance of that special stuff passed between kinswomen and how the secrets we keep from our mothers eventually become the secrets we keep from ourselves.

“Watching it all is Lillian’s daughter, the adorable Lil’ Mama, (a hilarious Demetra Dee) receiving a firsthand primer on who she will grow up to be. “

“But the biggest revelation in this cast is young Demetra Dee, who smartly plays 12-year-old Lil’ Mama. So refreshingly honest and realistic is this diminutive actor’s portrayal that I never once doubted that she was an actual preteen caught in the middle of her constantly bickering family. Watch Ms Dee’s expressive face closely, particularly her eyes, as she reacts candidly to all the confusion swirling around her. She’s unbelievable.“
